Star Wars: Armada

Review

A One-of-a-Kind Game That Offers Cinematic Scale Space Conflict

Star Wars Armada is the type of game that you either take a cursory glance at or dive in completely without shame. As much a collectable experience as a gamers game, Armada provides rich layers of tactical and strategic discipline with list building and game mechanics. Find out more here.

Sadly, the game is currently in a holding pattern with its current product license-holder, but is still being supported with limited card updates.

Thank you Ryan for designing and updating such a great resource!

Star Wars: Armada is storytelling at a cinematic scale.

As a stand-along game, or as part of a longer campgain, this game system provides levels of engagement. The shipbuilding provides very balanced lists. The in-game mechanics make it feel like every ship class and size is truly simulating a grand battle in galatic space. I recommend the starter set (Imperial versus Rebel Alliance). Be aware that there is also a Clone Wars Edition, but that the starter is a two-box buy.
